Meal Notes: Mythos

Simple Greek lunch, slightly overpriced.

I was in the mood for something simple and satisfying for lunch. I ended up at Mythos near Stauffacher. When you walk in, you can’t help wondering what to make of the big black and white mural. It looks like a winged, draped figure; probably something from Greek mythology. The atmosphere is relaxed and works well for a walk-in lunch.

I ordered the chicken souvlaki with pita and a Greek salad. The food is simple and tasty. The chicken was tender, and dipping the pita in the tzatziki was especially delicious. The portion was just right for lunch.

The meal came to a total of CHF 36, which definitely feels expensive. They charge CHF 3 to “upgrade” from French fries to the Greek salad. That feels steep given the amount of salad you get.

All in all, it was a good lunch. Simple, tasty and easy. I’d come back but only occasionally, because the price feels a little high for how straightforward the meal is.
